The Skulls of Hopper Mountain
Every species has different traits. That could be their feathers, fur, color, teeth, feet, and even their behaviors! Some of these traits, like condors soaring, can help with survival. Those traits are called adaptations.

Look closely at the condors beak. It is full of adaptations to help condors ear the tough dead meat they survive on.
Scissor action to slice through meat.
Sharp curved beak to break through carcass hides.
Barbs point down the throat to keep food moving down the throat.
The curved tongue helps pull meat down the throat.
